Poetry: Cost of Love

Cost of Love Love can be so expensive, Day after the other it gets so extensive, You keep getting hurt, Always willing to betray your heart, And lease to a person you know least, You expect to trust, Their  reliability  you weigh, They lose, but still follow their way, With them you become a patient, To them you become their patient, It is how we live, Dearly we pay the cost of love. Pain is not the end, Sacrifice is its head, You leave behind your pride, To earn an easy ride, Commitment is not enough, Self-respect prolongs the laugh, All combined we become mature, In our love we are then sure, It is how we live, Dearly we pay the cost of love.

Poetry: I Loved for Free

I Loved For Free Out and about, Being such a smart, I shall walk, I shall talk, Look for friends, And erase my stress. I will smile, For the whole while, And never cry, For failing to try, Because I’m at peace, With this rare chance. I never knew, Neither had a clue, That life was unfair, And love never there, I loved for free, Not knowing we were three. But tonight I sing, A song of my new being, Taking this new step, In this dangerous slope, Because I’ve made my mind, To welcome opportunity of any kind. I got my talent, I need not to lament, All I need is an escape, Courage and promises of hope, My family is a blessing, A reason for my surviving.
