FADING
When he
composed that song,
He thought
of her for so long,
She had
been his strength,
Her face
lit in her truth.
She was
his first,
She was
worth all his trust.
Then she
became his everything,
Promising
a love everlasting,
There was
no contention nor doubt,
It was all
happiness in his heart,
He called
every other time,
Even
though the talk was just the same.
They
didn’t consider fights for solutions.
A simple
kiss would wipe their problems,
They made
serious promises,
They never
anticipated heartaches,
He did not
subject her to tears,
She did
not subject him to any worries.
But
everything has an end,
A cloth
will someday need to be mend,
She didn’t
understand her man,
He failed
to understand his woman,
The
passion became war,
The
ecstasy turned sour.
They had
made a terrible mistake,
They
fought against another mistake,
The
confusion took over,
The toll
was hard to recover,
The gap
grew wider and wider,
Romance
had no reminder.
Their
fruit was in danger,
He could
not be the provider,
He was
burdened over the shoulder,
Their tone
was never again tender,
Time would
finally determine,
Whether
they were going to have a second chance.
