Poetry: KENYA is dating Mr. DEVIL

KENYA is dating Mr. DEVIL
She was once an innocent country,
So young untouched and saved from our fathers cry,
We had good neighbors and strangers were friends,
But today all friends are strangers,
But the DEVIL has touched her heart,
She is currently weighing her options to court,
The courtship is a thing most likely she will consider,
Because her dreams with him are no longer a wonder,
She has seen the DEVIL on some occasions,
She has gone on dates and some adventures,
She is currently experiencing the fruits of her actions,
But it seems she is so excited,
The outcomes are leaving her more thrilled,
Their relationship is getting serious,
Where is the cry of the believers?

KENYA is a rotten nation,
It was never in anyone’s imagination,
All forms of filth and pollution,
We are raising an ‘at-risk-generation’,
The morals have been eroded,
People are finding pleasure in the wild,
The humans have lost control of their mind,
It’s embarrassing and yet so sad,
When a man leaves his wife for a cow,
A couple hangs dirty linen in public for a free show,
A woman marries two men at a go,
Humans finding sexual satisfaction in dogs,

Where is the nation that was once spotless?
Where is our conscience that was once flawless?
A man slaughtering an elderly for a plate of food,
Listens to her cry and ignores as she plead,
And shamelessly confessed ‘nikamuhithukira’ on the television,
River-Road trading reforged documentation,
Police brutally beating up civilians,
Pretending to do a search and looting villages,
Pretending to maintain law but cause flakers,
They celebrate their share after successful thugs operations,

Have we lost all the mercy the creator gave us?
Why would medical practitioners boycott their humanitarian duties?
Sit back and watch patients die in hospitals?
Why would a nurse rape a patient in the ICU with 57% burns?
Why would a mother trade her child for three thousand shillings?
Why would a couple bury their mother alive and embark on celebrations?
Seniors in the government are the real drug barons,
Political assassinations go unpunished yet there is tangible evidence,
The helpless are left without any defense,
Communication tracked show hitch on crimes connection,
Justice left helpless even after proof investigation,
When the victims burnt bodies show poisoning symptoms.

The streets are torn in a parlor of nakedness,
Where is the conscience that wanted to do good?
Why would a wife plot to kill his husband?
Is it because she needs to own the property?
What will be of her children future and safety?
Was killing the husband really worth it?

Did the love turn to hate?
A man slaughters his five children,
A woman drowns her five children,
What other offense is KENYA planning to deserve God’s curse?
What we have become even for hell we are worse.
Please God, stop this relationship,
Let her keep herself for the right courtship,
Don’t let KENYA start dating the DEVIL,
We don’t want fruits that are full of evil.

Poetry: SLAVES

Slaves It is because you don’t see me, You don’t value me, I try to see, But your wrath blinds me, I cry for help from up above, But your supremacy and authority chain me, My children are hungry and almost to die, But you have taken away my wife, You have made their nurse a sex slave, I’m around just waiting for the next stage, The separation of my children when my smile shall fade. You have neither compassion nor a heart, You disregard I have blood that runs my heart, Yet you call me an ape from the forest, But I honestly think you are shoddier than that, You are neither a monster nor a heartless beast, I have tried to understand your impact on my fate, My wife is aghast by the portion of life, My children bewildered throughout the murky and the night, Their lives shall shrivel once I get into this boat, I will never lay my eyes on my family, I will have to toil and get trodden dearly, I just hope that my gods are watching carefully,...

Poetry: Police Torture

VICTIMS OF TORTURE!!! Why do policemen beat so indiscriminately and unprofessionally? Oh, defending themselves from peace loving unarmed civilians? Does it have to be in a manner of such terrible brutality? Rigging of elections, killing of civilians, beating demonstrators, suppressing of media, threats and extra judicial assassinations! Who will protect the innocent lot? Does it feel powerful to act in disregard of morality and law, Men, women and children always on the run, Feeling to the law some are above and some below, Who will come to the rescue of the ordinary Kenyan? How can a police loot in disguised name of searching? Beat, injure kill and go scot-free? Who will see the plight of children still crying? Restoring order-using firearms is one allegation they will never admit to see. Women and elderly are beaten live on camera, No wonder police recruitment is based on height, Colonization cases which are so gone an era! Behaving to satisfy your sa...

Poetry: Dear Friend....

Dear Friend, I've been startled by your generous action, Puzzled by your dedicated passion, Who ever thought that a real stranger, Could be the best friend ever? Who ever thought the most kind  deed, Would ever be of the sweetest kind? For a friend being awake? Isn't that priceless than risk? Or is there a better definition? Or is destiny close to destination? How on earth could one be ever forgotten? When favor and consideration have been given? The short journey has been lengthened by tension, Made lovely by hope and anticipation, There have been heartaches, Anxiety and roaming abandonments, But new friendship has conquered, A foundation of faith and trust have been established. In spite of some few lies at the start, And in spite of some abandonment at some point, I have credited you to be a good person, I will forever be indebted to you for your gifted action. I apologize for any wrong done, But I thank God your heart is not hard as st...
