Our Sweet Time Together
I first
saw you along the dark corridor,
Leaning
next to the office door,
So tall
like a giraffe,
In a brown
scarf,
Or was it
a brown polo neck?
I confused
for a scarf due to the dark?
I can now
remember,
To the
staff you were not a member.
You wore a
brown sweater,
I saw that
one better,
In a
lighter shade,
That was
so fade,
And a blue
jean,
The oldest
I had ever seen,
I thought
you were lost,
You were
definitely not at your best.
It is
amazing how you’ve kept us strong,
Your heart
sings me beautiful songs,
So
amazingly like the morning bird,
Better
than the National Choral Band,
Cooler
than the evening breeze from the sea,
Brighter
than the eye can ever see,
It was the
song of love,
So
peaceful like a dove,
I treasure
our sweet time together,
I would
love us to last forever.
